Shop Local With The Farmers’ Market

Shop Local With The Farmers’ Market 249

The Stony Plain Farmers’ Market runs from 9AM to 1PM on Saturdays at the Stony Plain Community Centre

There is something about farmers’ markets that makes shopping for everyday essentials an adventure. Visiting your local market is a great way to connect with the community and support farmers and entrepreneurs. Whether you are looking for fresh produce or hoping to find unique crafts, there is always something for everyone!

If you love nothing more than enjoying the fresh air and exploring local markets, you don’t want to miss out on the Stony Plain Farmers’ Market. You can get your local shopping fix every Saturday right in the heart of downtown Stony Plain. The area is undergoing construction, but don’t be fooled by the fencing and equipment – the market is open for business!

The Stony Plain Farmers’ Market has been bringing local treats and crafts to town since 1974. The market is home to a number of local vendors featuring meats, baked goods, produce, skin care, clothing, jewelry… you name it and the Farmers’ Market has got it. You can even find custom grain elevator bird houses! Explore a diversity of unique artisan crafts and pick up produce straight from the farm. Have a hankering for perogies like baba used to make? There are plenty of Ukrainian treats for sale and there is no shortage of tasty snacks to enjoy while you explore. Whether you are in the market for BC cherries or colourful placemats made from recycled paper, there is something for every shopper!

The Stony Plain Farmers’ Market runs from 9AM to 1PM on Saturdays at the Stony Plain Community Centre. If you plan to drive to the market, you can plan your shopping trip by scouting out the Downtown Parking Map. There are a number of parking spots within walking distance of the market and while construction is ongoing, sidewalks around the work site are open to pedestrians.
